Heidi has been coaching or an athletic director for over 35 years in the Tampa bay area. She has over 540 wins in Volleyball with under 180 losses. She has hosted the FACA state all-star game, spoken at various FACA clinics, officiated, held officials state clinics and has served on the State advisory committee for Volleyball as well.
She has over a dozen district and conference championships and one state runner up title.
She is dedicated to her athletes for the past 36 years and works in the off season for decades. She also gets her athletes involved in officiating the sport. Truely a ambassador to female athletics.
She was also an athletic director at a new school that opened up in Pasco county giving her heart, time and energy to mold new coaches into leaders on and off the court.
She has many young ladies that have gone on to play college athletic as well as coaches college Volleyball. Even an associate athletic director at the University of South Florida.
Her two daughters also played Volleyball one at the USF, the same place she played back in the 80's, in the same setting position Heidi was in. Britt (daughter ) is now the JV girls coach at Berkley as well as the boys Varsity Coach (VBALL). The other daughter played club ball at USF and then FSU.
As she is headed into retirement soon, this award would mean all the years she put in was noticed by the Tampa bay community.
